Terry and I have now been back in Canada for a few weeks.  We had a great work experience in Thailand and thank all the employees at McLarens (Thailand) Ltd. and other McLarens Young International offices for their hospitality and their staff's assistance with working on their claims.  We understand they are still working very hard on resolving the claims with their clients and the insured's.  We wish them all the best with their business interests and hope to someday have the opportunity to work with them again.

Steve and I returned from Thailand on February 1, 2012, after having  worked throughout December and January. It was a most rewarding experience and we hope to return to lend further assistance in the rebuilding of the destruction caused by the floods of 2011.

The Thai people who suffered through this terrible flooding have done an excellent job thusfar of restoring their industrial sector as well as some residential areas back to their  former condition.

The photo below shows the flooding devastation as well as the water level of the flood waters.

It's almost summer time.  I have been recently watching the news and noted that Alaska has just had an earthquake.  At the time I noted the report, there was no news with regard to any damage, nor the size of the earthquake.  They did say it affected Anchorage, Alaska.  We'll have to wait and see.

We also noted that Christchurch, NZ also had another large earthquake.  This is sure to hamper any insurance claims that are already underway from the last two earthquakes.  We'll post an update if we find out any further information.

Those who reside in Southern Ontario recently suffered an extreme wind storm that extended throughout Southern Ontario from the Niagara region all the way to Ottawa.  There was some loss of life and many people suffered damage to their properties.

I am currently watching a report on the tornado disaster that recently occurred throughout Alabama and Georgia in the United States.  The tornado damage was devestating  and extensive.  In this particular storm, many people lost their lives.

Our hearts and prayers are with all those who lost love ones and those who survived this particular storm  who have to deal with the aftermath.

Terry and I just returned from working Cyclone Yasi, windstorm and flood claims in Australia.  We were fortunate to be part of  the MYI Freemans team of property adjusters on the ground.  MYI Freemans staff and the  Australian people were extremely welcoming and friendly.

It was our pleasure to assist MYI Freemans, their clients and the insured people who suffered extreme damage in the various storms assisting them back to a normal life following the storms.

We were also fortunate to meet the acquaintence of other adjusters both local, from England  and from  the United States.
